GREAT FALLS, MONTANA – July 6, 2017, 2009 – Hi-Line Moving Services, Inc. announced that it has acquired Gateways International, Inc, a Seattle based Transportation and Forwarding company providing relocation and moving services. For over 30 years Gateways has been an industry leader providing a particular focus and expertise in household goods relocation for those serving in the Armed Forces in Alaska.

Under the purchase, Gateways will continue to serve its customers and Transportation Service Providers (TPS’s) participating in the Department of Defense’s Personal Property Program (DP3).  The stock purchase of Gateways International fits into Hi-Line’s long term strategy to be a leader in the households industry and a transportation leader in Alaska. For several decades Hi-Line has served Alaska with a year-round trucking service over the Alaska-Canada Highway (ALCAN).

“The acquisition of Gateways complements our overall Alaska strategy, so we can now provide multiple services to the various participants in the Alaska household goods industry.” said Paul Lindstrom, President of Hi-Line.

Dorothy Timma, a 25 year veteran of Gateways, was promoted to President of Gateways immediately after the purchase.  “Gateways and Hi-Line have a long history of working to together in Alaska and now we have a shared future of serving the needs of the industry. The purchase adds to Gateways’ capacity and geographic options to serve our customers.” said Dorothy Timma.
